Welcome to the website for "Mosquito Magazine", an upcoming short film by creative team SECOND BEST BED. The film has been shot and is currently in post-production. Thank you endlessly to everyone who has helped us along the way.
"Mosquito Magazine" follows the meteoric rise and fall of pop megastar JUDY BLOOD. The film explores the consequences of a powerful, popular part of our society: gossip magazines and celebrity worship.
Judy has it all: fortune, fame and her loyal lover, DENNIS VENOM. However, her life quickly changes when she becomes the fixation of the maniacal ROTS BIGLY, the lord of all paparazzi and editor of Mosquito Magazine.
The attention electrifies Judy's career, but she soon desires to escape her fame at all costs. She flees into hiding, but lurking in murky shadows, Rots Bigly has yet to reveal his malicious endgame involving a mechanical mosquito, Judy's comeback concert and a fiendish creature known only as GLOBO.
